Christmas Cupcakes

Abbreviations:
R: round
sc: single crochet

Materials:
2 mm crochet hook
yarn in various colors ( light brown, dark brown, green, white, red, black, orange, yellow)
Needle for sewing
Stuff
Scissor

Note: Work in continuous round

Cup:
Use light brown yarn, except deer cupcake use dark brown
R1: ch 2, starting from second chain from hook 5 sc
R2: inc, rep 5x (10)
R3: sc, inc, rep 5x (15)
R4: inc, 2 sc, rep 5x (20)
R5: 3 sc, inc, rep 5x (25)
R6: BLO, sc around
R7: sc around
R8: 4 sc, inc, rep 5x (30)
R9: sc around
R10: 5 sc, inc, rep 5x (35)
R11: sc around
F/O leaving a long tail for sewing

Basic Cake:
R1: ch 2, starting from second chain from hook 6 sc
R2: inc, rep 6x (12)
R3: sc, inc, rep 6x (18)
R4: 2 sc, inc, rep 6x (24)
R5: 3 sc, inc, rep 6x (30)
R6: 4 sc, inc, rep 6x (36)
R7: 5 sc, inc, rep 6x (42)
R8-12: sc around
In R13 and R14 we will work in back and front loop of R12, but if it's difficult for you, skip R13 and do it in last round
R13: FLO, skip 2, 5dc in same stitch, skip 2,  sl st, rep 7x ( there will be 7 fan stitches)
R14: work in BLO of R12, 5 sc, dec, rep 6x (36)
R15: 4 sc, dec, rep 6x (30)
R16: 3 sc, dec, rep 6x (24)
R17: 2 sc, dec, rep 6x (18)
Stuff
R18: sc, dec, rep 6x (12)
R19:  dec, rep 6x (6)

Snowman Cupcake:
Cup: see cup pattern
Cake: use white yarn, see basic cake pattern
Nose: 
Use orange
R1: ch 2, starting from second chain from hook 4 sc
R2: sc, inc, rep 2x (6)
R3: 2 sc, inc, rep 2x (8)
R4: sc around
stuff
F/O leaving a long tail for sewing

Finishing:
- Attach snowman eyes 6 sts apart, between Rnds 6 and 7 of basic cake
- By using black yarn, sew its mouth
- Sew nose on cupcake
- Insert round stiff card as a base of cup, stuff, then join the cup to cake by sewing them.

Deer Cupcake:
Cup: use dark brown, see cup pattern
Cake: use light brown yarn, see basic cake pattern
Deer's Horns:
Long Horns (make 2):
Use dark brown yarn
R1: ch 2, starting from second chain from hook 6 sc
R2-7: sc around
stuff
F/O leaving a long tail for sewing
Small Horns (make 2):
Use dark brown
R1: ch 2, starting from second chain from hook 6 sc
R2-4: sc around
stuff
F/O leaving a long tail for sewing

Finishing:
- Sew long horns on cake.
- Sew  small horn on long horn
- Insert round stiff card as a base of cup, stuff,  then join the cup to cake by sewing them.

Santa's Legs Cupcake:
Cup: see cup pattern
Cake: use red yarn, see basic cake pattern
Santa's Leg (make 2):
Use black yarn
R1: Ch 6, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each of next 3 chs,3 sc in last ch. Working on underside of foundation chain, sc in next 3 chs, 2 sc in last ch. (12)
R2: 2 sc in next st, sc in next 3 sts, 2 sc in next 3 sts, sc in next 3 sts, 2 sc in last 2 sts (18)
R3: Sc in next st, 2 sc in next st, sc in next 4 sts, 2 sc in next st, sc in next 3 sts, 2 sc in next st, sc in next 5 sts, 2 sc in next st, sc in last st (22)
R4: sc around
R5: sc in next 6 sts,  2 dec, sc in next 2 sts, 2 dec, sc in next 6 sts (18)
R6: sc in next 5 sts, 4 dec, sc in next 5 sts (14)
CC to red
R7: sc around
R8: BLO, sc around
R9-12: sc around
Stuff
F/O leaving  along tail for sewing
Continue work on front loop of R7
R13: use white yarn, sc around
F/O
Belt: 
Use black yarn:
ch  43

R1: sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 41 sts (42)
F/O leaving a long tail for sewing 

Buckle: 
Use yellow
ch 4
R1: sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 2 sts (3)
R2: ch 1, turn, sc in each sts
F/O leaving a long tail for sewing
Finishing:
- Sew legs on cake
- Sew the belt around the cake
- Sew the buckle on the front side of belt
- Insert round stiff card as a base of cup, stuff, then join the cup to cake by sewing them. 

Christmas Tree Cupcake:
Cup: see cup pattern
Cake: use green yarn, see basic cake pattern, but for R9 work on back loop only.
Additional rounds for cake:
R20: use white yarn, CC sl st on same st as you did in R13, sc in each sts of fan stitch, rep around
R21: work on front loop of R8, join green yarn on 3rd st, skip 2, 5dc in same stitch, skip 2, sl st, rep 7x ( there will be 7 fan stitches)
R22: CC to white, sl st on same st as you did in R21, sc in each sts of fan stitch, rep around


Upper part of tree:
You can skip this part if you wish.
Use green
R1: ch 2, starting from second chain from hook 6 sc
R2: sc around
R3: inc, rep 6 x (12)
R4: sc around
R5: sc, inc, rep 6x (18)
R6: sc around
R7: 2 sc, inc, rep 6x (24)
R8: sc around
R9: 3 sc, inc, rep 6x (30)
R10: FLO, skip 2, 5dc in same stitch, skip 2,  sl st, rep 5x ( there will be 5 fan stitches)
R11: CC to white, sl st on same st as you did in R10, sc in each sts of fan stitch, rep around
F/O leaving along tail for sewing

Finishing:
- Sew upper part of tree to basic cake, stuff before you close it completely
- Insert round stiff card as a base of cup, stuff, then join the cup to cake by sewing them.
